What this checks (and why)
Each check maps to a guide on this site, based on the failure modes I encounter from the inside: context and examples, output shape and edge cases, constraints and definition of done, and verification. It's a heuristic checklist, not an oracle — a prompt can fail a check and still work. But in my experience, prompts that pass most checks need far fewer revision rounds.
